Wotton suffered an early setback as a well-struck corner was neatly turned in at the near post. Undeterred the away team fought back with York, Taylor and Schofield working hard to release White up front. The introduction of Willcox gave Wotton a stronger look but it was still the defensive trio of Pedley, Herbert and Pinnegar being kept the busier by a good Green outfit. Just before half time a deflected shot eventually beat the superb Pinnegar in goal.Wotton were a different side in the second half finally getting their passing game going. They were rewarded when the tireless Schofield scored a good individual goal. Wotton continued to press but were left stretched at the back when Green got a decisive third. Still Wotton countered with Ed Fuller going close before good approach play from Barden, Willcox and Taylor released York who struck home a deserved second goal.
